SHMS 4 is Up and Running!

We are so excited that broadcast has started for this year in the Media Lab. After our Tricaster stopped working in August, we had to work with campus IT to come up with a solution. We are happy with the solution we have found, but we still need to order a computer to run the main software. (We are currently borrowing a small laptop to run it, and it is hard to see the details as we work). Hopefully as all students are trained, we will be able to add more exciting things to newscast each day.

Parent Volunteers

We could really use some parent volunteers to help in the library.  You can train on the job, so no experience is required!  Please sign up online using the website listed or contact Mrs. Koch at akoch@shslou.org.

Book Fair Roundup

Thanks to all who came to support our Wild West Book Fair. We were able to put $1500 into our Book Fair account to use for author visits or maker materials for the library. We also were able to get $1037.73 in Scholastic Book for our library. Thank you to our volunteers. We will be having a Carmichael's book fair in the spring.
